About the Course

Trees, Planning & Construction

This comprehensive one-day training course is designed for arboricultural consultants and tree officers, particularly those aspiring to become consultants. The program guides participants through the complete arboricultural process from site conception to handover, aligning with RIBA work stages and BS 5837 standards.

The course combines interactive teaching, group work, role play, and practical outdoor activities around TMA offices. Sessions cover each development stage, including strategic definition, concept design, spatial coordination, technical design, construction, and handover.

Participants will learn to be effective advocates for arboriculture, understand client requirements at each stage, and develop collaborative skills for working with design teams. The training emphasises practical application through mock design meetings, site assessments, and case studies.

A final session focuses on building confidence and professional development.
